CMS Youth Development programs
Community Mediation Services, Inc. is located in Queens, NY Community District 12 and has served youth and families throughout the borough since 1983. CMS’s mission is to promote more effective approaches to conflict-resolution and problem solving for youth, their families and the community as a whole. We accomplish this through innovative services and programs that empower people to develop skills and identify resources needed to resolve their own challenges and problems.
Community Mediation Services has, as a linchpin, the core belief that the positive youth development of adolescents begins with the notion of respect and empowerment. Participating youth are encouraged to take an active role in shaping their experience within the youth development programs.
